Coaching

Growing into your strengths

What type of coaching do you offer?

As a transformational coach, behaviour sits at the heart of my work.  This means that the types of clients I work with can be very broad, from those navigating a career change or seeking to increase their performance in their role or personal life, to business owners and leaders who want to be more effective.

What are the benefits of coaching?

Engaging a coach is a significant step in your own self-development and the benefits of it are immediately tangible.  Transformational coaching empowers you to achieve your personal and professional growth through fostering self-awareness, setting clear goals, and providing ongoing support. It is known to enhance communication skills, boosts self-confidence, and promotes a positive mindset, leading to improved leadership, decision-making, and overall life satisfaction.  Through coaching, you have a greater chance of achieving your goals faster and, since your coach is likely to offer challenge, you’ll have accountability for the goals you set.

Picking a coach

Currently the majority of coaching remains unregulated so it’s important to know that the coach you are engaging is fit for purpose.

I am registered with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), which means I have undertaken a recognised coaching course and achieved the standard that allows me to register with the EMCC. It also means I abide by the EMCC Global Code of Ethics.

In order to remain on the EMCC register, I am committed to continuing professional development and regular supervision with a coaching supervisor.  I also come with 12 years experience of working within the corporate arena delivering leadership and management programmes and coaching a wide range of clients from individuals with personal goals to SME business leaders.

How does it work?

The first step is building a relationship.  Through a complimentary 30 minute ‘chemistry call’, we’ll get the opportunity to get to know each other a little better.  It’s a chance for you to ask me about my coaching style and understand a bit more about how I work with clients.

It also allows me to understand more about what you would like to get out of coaching and make sure I’m the right coach for your needs.  Rest assured, if there is any reason we’re not the best fit for each other, I will always aim to ensure I pass on some recommendations of coaches who might better help you achieve your goals.

A programme of coaching would initially be 6 sessions and together we would determine how frequently you would like those sessions, depending on your specific goals.  Coaching can be undertaken virtually or face-to-face.  If you would like your coaching to take place face-to-face, I would strongly recommend getting out of the work place and getting out in nature with me.  Read more about why this can be beneficial here (link to nature bit).

In between your sessions, you can expect some homework.  This is likely to be in the form of:

Coaching programmes

Individual one-off coaching sessions

This session is aimed at those wanting to understand more about their strengths, what energises them and how they can manage performance risks more effectively. Following completion of a StrengthscopeTM report, over 60 minutes you will work towards a set of actions to capitalise and develop your strengths and effectively manage tasks and activities that drain you.

6-week programme of coaching

Aimed at those who recognise that they are not currently feeling like they are fulfilling their potential and may be blocked in their thinking.  This programme of 6 coaching sessions will support you to develop a clear set of goals, and understand the behaviours, mindsets and thought patterns that are getting in the way of your growth and development.
